Other social media platforms have successfully garnered a significant share of users from international markets—ranging from 80% to 90%. In stark contrast, Reddit currently counts about half of its user base from outside the U.S. This statistic presents a compelling case for Reddit to intensify its efforts to amplify its presence globally. Wong noted that by the year’s end, users could expect support for around 20 to 30 languages, opening the doors for users in non-English speaking countries to engage with the platform more seamlessly. According to Wong, the pathway to closing this revenue gap includes initiating cross-border advertising campaigns.
