Instagram has announced the launch of its Creator Lab in India, showcasing popular Instagram users from the country. This educational resource will be available in both English and Hindi, with captions in five additional languages. The Creator Lab aims to provide resources for content creators in India, building upon the success of the Born on Instagram program launched in 2019.

The Creator Lab will feature content from 14 creators across India, offering insights and strategies for aspiring creators. Content will be available in both Hindi and English, with captions in Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu. The goal is to support and empower creators in India to enhance their content creation skills and engagement on the platform.

Instagram has introduced three new features to enhance user engagement on the platform. The first feature, Comments in Stories, allows users to comment on others’ stories, visible to other users for 24 hours. This feature builds on the ability to leave comments on posts and reels, with the option to turn off comments for stories. Additionally, users can now use cutouts of images from their camera roll as stickers in DMs, expanding on the functionality available in stories.

Another new feature, Birthday Notes, is designed to increase engagement on the platform. Users who opt in will see a small hat icon in the Instagram Notes section on their birthday. This feature will use the same privacy settings as regular Instagram notes, ensuring users have control over their content and interactions on their special day.

With the launch of the Creator Lab and new features on Instagram, the platform aims to provide a more engaging and interactive experience for users in India. By offering resources for content creators and introducing innovative features like Comments in Stories and Birthday Notes, Instagram is empowering users to connect, create, and share meaningful content on the platform. As Instagram continues to evolve and innovate, users can expect even more opportunities to showcase their creativity and engage with others in the Instagram community.
